The first of the winter weather has arrived this weekend in the form of an ice storm. Typical Maryland weather in December. In fact, this weekend the weather was the most crazy it’s been in a while, freezing temps Friday, ice all day Sat and then a high of 58 on Sunday morning only to have another cold front come through by the afternoon. However, I spent some time playing with the icicles before they totally melted. I’ll admit these are a bit of a stretch for macro since I didn’t use my macro lens but instead my long telephoto. I didn’t want to be up close and personal with the elements. But I may have gotten a little out of hand with how many photos I took yesterday. Luckily I deleted more than I kept! 😀
Then for about 10 minutes, the clouds cleared and the sun came out and the sky was a brilliant warm color.
And now please head over to the talented Elizabeth Partin to see her macro shots this Monday.
